Elon Musk. Elon is the ultimate triple-threat entrepreneur. He is a technologist, strategist and fundraiser. Plus Tony Stark’s movie character was modeled after him. How cool is that?
What book are you currently reading?
Hooked: How to Build Habit Forming Products. This book describes a process for how to design a product to be highly desirable by its customers. Bottom line, it teaches product designers how to use their supply powers for good, not evil.
In your role — what does success look like?
In my role as CEO, success happens when we can accomplish a huge, deeply meaningful mission that none of us could do by ourselves. Like
when the Avengers beat all of the aliens and saved the entire planet!

Donate to our Marketer of the Year Silent Auction
Each year, AMA honors Hawaii’s top marketers at our Marketer of the Year Award Luncheon. This year’s event is being held on April 9 at the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and will draw professionals from some of the largest organizations in Hawaii.
A highlight at this event is a silent auction which raises monies for our scholarship fund and provides a scholarship each year to one deserving AMA student member within the state of Hawaii. Last year’s silent auction raised more than $1,500 which helped to award a scholarship for Kimberly Rozakis of Chaminade University of Honolulu.
Suggested donations include gift certificates, services, and/or retail merchandise. To maximize the impact of bidding, we suggest a donation valued at $50 or more with an expiration date of April 2016 or later for any gift certificates.
By donating an auction item, your company will have a unique marketing and exposure opportunity including:
- Company logo on event program and main ballroom screen
- Highlighting your product or service with gift value on the donation table
- Announcement of your on donation on AMA Hawaii Chapter Facebook page with a link to your company website
