A Letter from Our President

JULY 6, 2021

Aloha,

The last year has been a challenging one to say the least, but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. As we move forward and prepare for the upcoming AMA board year, I am so appreciative of the outstanding individuals who have been and continue to be a part of our organization. From our board members to our sponsors and partners and most importantly, our chapter members, we are grateful to all of you for sticking with us through a difficult time.

Our chapter’s vision has always been to be the piko (center) of all things marketing in Hawaii. We want to be a resource, a creative space, an organization that connects our passionate and talented marketing community and helps our industry to move forward.

This year also brings with it a new initiative spearheaded by our AMA Professional Chapter, to make Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) a priority. Our AMA Hawaii chapter has proudly taken the pledge to use our platform to better help individuals and companies support DEI in the industry. We hope you’ll join us in our efforts to “use the power of our collective voices to outline the roles marketers can play in standing for and delivering on inclusion; the ideals, values, and principles that promote equity, respect, and unity.”

Thank you so much for your continued support of AMA Hawaii and for trusting me to be your chapter president. It’s going to be an AMAzing year!

Mahalo,
Taryn (Bohan) Wells, President
