Thank you to everyone that was able to join AMA Hawaii for our November lunch and learn on Data Privacy & Compliance. AMA Hawaii chose to address the data privacy topic, because of how significant consumer data has become for marketers, web and design teams, and business operations.
While the collection and application of user data is not a new practice, the management and protection of collected data have become increasingly more complex. Security breaches and even targeted advertising has cast a spotlight on data collection and practices, creating awareness and initiating a dialogue for greater clarity and control for users and their privacy.
